Server Rules
Welcome to Hordecraft! Please read and follow the rules below to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.
General Server Rules
- Respect All Players: Treat everyone with respect. Bullying, harassment, and hate speech will not be tolerated.
- No Cheating or Hacking: Using mods or exploits that give an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.
- No Griefing: Do not destroy or modify other players' builds without permission.
- No Spamming: Avoid spamming chat with messages, commands, or advertisements.
- Keep Chat Clean: Use appropriate language in chat. Avoid excessive swearing and inappropriate content.
- Follow Admin Instructions: Listen to and follow the instructions given by server staff and admins.
- No Advertising: Do not advertise other servers or products in chat.
- Report Bugs: If you find a bug or exploit, report it to the staff instead of using it.
- Have Fun: Remember to enjoy the game and help others do the same.
Gameplay-Specific Rules
- PvP Rules: PvP (Player vs. Player) is allowed outside of safezones. No spawn killing (killing players repeatedly at their spawn point).
- Base Raiding: Base raiding is allowed, but there should be limits to ensure fair play. No complete destruction of bases. Take what you need and leave the rest.
- Building Rules: Avoid building offensive or inappropriate structures.
- Events and Quests: Follow the specific rules for server events and quests. Participate fairly and do not exploit event mechanics.
Apocalypse-Specific Rules
- Zombie Apocalypse Theme: The server has a zombie apocalypse theme; maintain the atmosphere by role-playing accordingly. Avoid actions that break immersion, like building modern-day structures or using inappropriate skins.
- Faction/Clan Rules: Maximum Limit of 8 per group. No crossteaming.
Enforcement and Consequences
- Warnings: Minor offenses will result in a warning. Repeated offenses will lead to harsher penalties.
- Temporary Bans: Serious rule violations may result in temporary bans.
- Permanent Bans: Severe or repeated violations can lead to a permanent ban from the server.
- Appeals: Players who feel they have been unfairly punished can appeal to the server staff or at https://hordecraft.org/appeal.
Community Guidelines
- Contribute Positively: Help build a positive and welcoming community.
- Help New Players: Assist newcomers with understanding the server rules and mechanics.
- Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to help improve the server.
- Events Participation: Join in server events and activities to foster community spirit.
